Payment Methods and Deposit:

To secure your booking, a deposit is required. We accept various payment methods, including payment directly into our bank account, e-transfer, debit cards, or cash. Please note that cash payments need to be arranged in advance and will incur an additional 3.5% processing charge. Ensure the payment is cleared at least one day before the job commences.

Balance Payment Options:

Customers can pay the balance in cash to the driver on the day of the move. However, personal checks are not accepted on the day of the move. You can issue a check at the time of booking or at least 10 days in advance of your moving date (whichever comes first).

At 1st Movers, we regret to inform you that we do not transport plants, food items, or pets. Kindly make alternative arrangements for the safe relocation of these belongings.

When you secure a move with 1st Movers, our standard service comprises loading, transporting, and unloading your belongings. It’s important to note that this does not encompass packing, packing materials, unpacking, disassembly, reassembly, cleaning, insurance, or any other additional services. Should you need these services, kindly specify and book them separately at the time of your reservation.

In cases where a fixed quote has been provided, our commitment is to execute the job efficiently without any hindrances. However, if there are delays related to key reception or the previous occupants still vacating the property, waiting time will be separately charged and is not encompassed in the default quote. Our standard hourly rate applies to waiting times.

If the delay is beyond your control and attributed to a third party, we recommend reaching out to your solicitor. They can assist in exploring potential claims for any additional charges incurred due to the delay.

Additionally, for individuals moving on the same day as the closing, scheduling the move later in the day rather than in the morning qualifies for a complimentary bonus hour.

In case you need to cancel your move after confirmation of date & details and deposit is sent, please be aware that all cancellations incur a $100 administration charge. However, date change can be accommodated without a cost.

Yes, we do provide a complete array of packing supplies at customer request and can be purchased in advance. However, occasionally we offer special offers where a bundle of packing supplies free of cost for your convenience.

At 1st Movers, we aim to explain our break policy. Movers enjoy a 30-minute lunch break, not billed to you. Additionally, they take a 15-minute break every two hours, and this time is part of the moving hours charged to you.
